Remember that cold air should not escape from the wine cellars, and heat should not enter the room. When there is air leakage, there will be temperature fluctuations, which can cause wine storage problems. The matte black hardware has a u-channel surrounding the fixed panels of the glass walls, door handles, and hinges. The seamless glass door allows complete visibility of the client’s wine collection stored in custom millwork.  

Racking Styles Ideal for Glass Custom Wine Cellars in Vancouver 

The Red Oak millwork adds character to the residential wine room. We applied stain and lacquer to achieve a lustrous finish base don the request of the owner.   

We combined diamond and rectangular diamond bins, ideal for bulk storage. Each cubicle can hold eight bottles, allowing the owners to manage and organize their collection conveniently. 

You will find a display row lit by an LED lighting system. It displays the bottles at an angle to keep the cork moist and prevent wine oxidation. We also incorporated a tall arch opening where a few bottles and accessories could be displayed.   

Utilizing the VINdustry Peg Hardware helped us create an illusion of bottles floating in mid-air. The three-bottle deep wine pegs with a black anodized aluminum finish were designed to hold three bottles. We used anchor bolts to mount through the face of the millwork.

In another project we completed in Vancouver, the owners wanted a wine cellar with a full glass enclosure that would serve as a divider in their living room. It looks like an aquarium in the middle of the room.  

The minimalist design was perfect for the home and enticed many people to start their own projects. It became popular online, resulting in several inquiries about this modern wine display.

Metal wine racks are widely used in building modern wine cellars. In this project, we utilized VintageView wine racks that hold the bottles with a label-forward orientation. With the labels facing out, the owners and their guests would be able to browse the wines without flipping the bottles.  

The total bottle capacity of the wine cellar is 315 750ml bottles. We installed single-deep wine racks on the rear section of the racking and double-deep wine racks at the front.
